Attanasio thrilled to have the event return first time since COVID for its 9th run
11/6/2022
Hawk Strategies CEO Anthony Attanasio, in conjunction with NJ TRANSIT and the NY JETS, were overjoyed to run the NY JETS Dream Express for Children with Autism for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. This Dream Express was the 9th event since it was founded by Attanasio in 2010 when he was the Deputy Chief of Staff of NJ TRANSIT. Anthony founded the event along with his dear friend and partner from the NY Jets Tim McDonough.
This year’s guests came from Union County thanks to the events’ legislative sponsor, Senate President Nick Scutari. The Senate President, working with Manny Ramirez from the Union County Bureau of ADA Compliance, brought together a great group of guests from seven different towns throughout the county that were able to enjoy a big Jets win over the Buffalo Bills.
The Dream Express is a transportation and football experience for children with autism and their family members. NJ TRANSIT provides the guests with a police escort in a reserved train car to and from the Frank R. Lautenberg Rail Station to the Meadowlands. Once they arrive at MetLife Stadium, the NY JETS provide game tickets and gift cards for refreshments to each guest. The group is then escorted by stadium personal to their seats. This year’s game was an exciting matchup between the Jets and their Division rivals the Buffalo Bills. The Jets secured a big win for our guests capping a great gameday.
Special thanks to the NJT Police, NJT Rail Operations, the NJ State Police, Senate President Nick Scutari, Union County and Metlife Stadium for providing the guests with an incredible experience they will never forget.
